    How Long is Phlebotomy Training ?

    First off, you need to know what the requirements are to qualify for training. You need to have a high school diploma or any of its equivalent. You must also be 18 years of age to seek training. If you have all these, then you can start your training.

    You can look for several phlebotomy technician training centers on the internet. However, be very careful where you want to put your money. These training centers are almost always expensive, and for good reasons. They can help you become the best in your chosen field. The training they will provide will help you get your certification, and have a competitive edge over other applicants.

    However, make sure that you pick your training center carefully. A lot can offer anywhere from two weeks to a month of training. Know that these are almost never enough. Good training centers will train you for months for the same price.

    Phlebotomist

    In the US, not all states require for a phlebotomist to become certified. Some states, on the other hand, require both a certification and a license. Nevertheless, more and more employers require that from their applicants. Those who are not certified will find it exceptionally difficult to land a good phlebotomy gig. All in all, it takes about eight to ten months to become a certified phlebotomist.
